We know that lots of people want to take photos and videos at gigs and events. We all want to capture that memory! Here's some guidance about what photography and video is allowed in our venue and when.
We allow customers to:
- take non-professional photography
- take non-flash photography
- film short videos
When are these types of photography NOT allowed?
These kinds of photo and video are allowed unless a ‘No Photography Policy’ is asked for at the request of the visiting artists.
In this case we will announce that photography is not permitted and this will be enforced by the Customer Service Team and Security during the performance.
Customers found to be ignoring the policy may be asked to delete footage they have taken and may be asked to leave the auditorium by the management.
What equipment is NOT allowed?
These types of equipment are not allowed:
- ipads
- mini Ipads
- tablets
- selfie sticks
- cameras with detachable lenses and/or zoom lenses (compact or professional)
- Go-pros/ Virb cameras
- video cameras
- drones
- audio recording devices
There are many different types of professional camera. We reserve the right to decide what is a ‘professional’ camera.
In some instances customers may be asked to refrain from using photographic and/or recording equipment for child protection reasons.
Photography and video at other venues
Sometimes we present shows in venues across the city. To find out information about photography and video recording at other venues in the city, please contact the host venue directly.
Professional photography and filming
We commission professional photography and videos at lots of our events and gigs with a team of local artists. We'll share these on our social media so you can relive the best moments!
We use Legitimate Interest for the use of any/all media content. By purchasing a ticket to a Bristol Beacon event you agree to photography, film or sound recording taking place. Please read our Ticketing Terms and Conditions for more information about our photography.
